Following the conclusion of the regular season twenty teams will be entered into the BUAFL’s play off programme.
Sixteen of these teams will compete for the BUAFL National Championship and eight will compete for the BUAFL Challenge Trophy.
The BUAFL National Championship Play offs:
The Last Sixteen:
In the Championship play offs the top two teams from each division will progress into the last sixteen where the winners and runners-up in each group play each other with matches confined to a conference basis. The divisional winners will be awarded home field advantage.
Conference Title Games
The winners from the first round of play-off games will go forward to a Conference title game.
Inter-Conference Tiltle Games
Each of the Conference winners will play in the Inter-Conference Championships. The champions from Conference 1 will play the champions from Conference 2 and the champions of Conference 3 will play the champions of Conference 4.
National Championship Game
The winners of the two Inter-Conference games will play in the National Championship Game.
The BUAFL Challenge Trophy Play-offs:
Quarter Finals:
Each Division will provide one team to go forward to the Challenge Trophy quarter finals. This team will have had the third best competitive record in the Division.
The Quarter Finals will be confined to Conferences.
Semi Finals:
The victorious team from Conference 1 will play the winning team from the Conference 2 quarter final and the team from Conference 3 will play the team from Conference 4.
Challenge Trophy Final:
The winners of the Challenge Trophy semi finals will go head to head in the Challenge Trophy game.
