Royal Holloway Bears
Founded in 2005 the Bears finished its first BCAFL season with a 2-6 record in their previous guise of the RHUL Vikings.
During their second season, despite some big losses, the Bears were unlucky not to improve on their rookie season record.
The RHUL Bears now had a strong corp of veteran players, many of whom have been there since the club''''s inception to the league in 2005. This, coupled with the off-season improvements that were constantly being made to make the Bears a team that could challenge the big guns of the league which meant that in the Bears 3rd season, they managed to get their first playoff berth in club history.
A group of 25 close-knit players including the three year vets that founded the club, an insurgence of american talent, and a handful of promising rookies helped guide the Bears to the playoffs on the back of a 6-2 record after a 7-6 victory away to Brighton on the last day of the season.
