Imperial Immortals

The Immortals are a young team created in 2006.

Our first year was spent getting a team together and training with the London Blitz.

At the start of our second year we received foundation membership in BUAFL. We have also started work with a new head coach Matt Excell who was not only heavily involved with the programme at Essex University but was also the first elected representative on the BUAFL Board.

The Immortals hope to start playing games sparring games with other universities and prepare ourselves for full BUAFL membership as soon as possible.

Imperial College London (officially The Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine as given in its Royal Charter) is in London and was placed 5th overall in the world in the 2007 THES - QS World University Rankings of universities world-wide.

It is one of only three universities to have reached second place in any of the major British newspaper league rankings when Imperial College beat Oxford University in The Times 1999 and 2000 tables to finish second.

Teaching and research focus on science, engineering, and medicine, although more recently faculties in these areas have been complemented by the Imperial College Business School and a humanities department.

Imperial’s main campus is located in South Kensington in central London, on the boundary between the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea and the City of Westminster, with its front entrance on Exhibition Road. Formerly a constituent college of the University of London, Imperial became independent of the university on 8 July 2007, the 100th anniversary of its founding.
